Signs and Symptoms

Drowning victims are rarely able to wave or call for help. Watch for:

  • Head low in the water or tilted back
  • Gasping
  • Trying to swim but not moving
  • Hair covering forehead or eyes
  • Eyes closed or unable to focus.
