The LA Y and IKEA Burbank Join Forces to Create a New Youth Enrichment Center

The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is excited to announce a groundbreaking collaboration with IKEA Burbank that is set to transform the lives of children, families, and seniors in the community. This innovative partnership aims to breathe new life into an underutilized space, paving the way for a Youth Enrichment Center at the East Valley Family YMCA that promises to offer a wide range of enriching programs and services to the community.

It is with great pleasure that we announce our collaboration with IKEA Burbank, who recognized the potential of our vision. After several discussions and a shared commitment to community enrichment, IKEA Burbank stepped forward to explore the creation of a new Youth Center. This partnership marks a significant step forward in the Y's mission to provide transformative services to the community.

Currently, the East Valley Family YMCA serves over 300 youth every month with enrichment classes. With the addition of this new Youth Enrichment Center, we expect this number to double, enabling us to reach more than 5,000 children every year. This expansion allows us to touch the lives of more children, fostering personal growth, learning, and fun.

Looking ahead to 2024, our vision extends even further. We plan to expand our enrichment classes to include adult members, ranging in age from 13 to 100, making our services more inclusive and comprehensive.

This collaboration between the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles and IKEA Burbank is a testament to our shared commitment to community well-being, education, and enrichment. Together, we are building a brighter future for the children, families, and seniors in the Los Angeles community.
