New state-of-the-art ball hockey rink unveiled at Camp Whittle

Special thanks and appreciation go out to Directors Dana Debel and Kelly Cheeseman who orchestrated the successful construction and unveiling of a brand new state of the art “ball hockey rink” located in Y Camp Whittle.

This was a joint partnership between the LA Kings, Delta Airlines, and the Y to introduce ball hockey to campers on a year round basis as part of the traditional sleep away camping program experience. When it comes to camp most of us think of archery, crafts, boating, swimming, hi ropes, mountain biking, and horseback riding.  Now, add ball hockey to the numerous activities which campers may experience and enjoy.

The ribbon cutting occurred last week at Y-Camp Whittle with a small but enthusiastic group of directors attending including Andrew Crowell, Todd Katz, Dana Debel, Keith Terasaki, and Greg Meyer.  Y-staffers Jeff Darling, Victor Dominguez, and Mark Dengler were also instrumental in getting this project done.
