On March 25, 2015, the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles' Urban Council launched its Cradle to Career Success Initiative. In partnership with Mayor Eric Garcetti, the largest undertaking in the history of the LA Y was unveiled. This initiative reflects the Y's commitment to strengthen Los Angeles' most underserved and under-resourced urban neighborhoods by addressing pressing academic and community needs.
