Hello South Pasadena San Marino and Pasadena-Sierra Madre Y Members,
My name is Devon Corlew and I am the new Executive Director of the South Pasadena San Marino and Pasadena Sierra Madre YMCA branches! After four years of stellar leadership, Rick Politte has chosen to leave the Y family to pursue other opportunities, and while Rick has left some big shoes to fill, I’m very excited about this opportunity.
I’ve been with the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles for nearly 15 years serving in roles at the Metro office as well as at branches, most recently at the Culver-Palms Family YMCA where I’ve been the Executive Director for the past five years.
I can’t wait to get to know both of these incredible communities and I’m looking forward to meeting each of you and welcoming you back when we reopen our facilities for healthy lifestyle activities on July 13th. You’ll receive another communication from me with additional information as we near that date.
My vision is that both of these branches are a home where everyone in these vibrant communities feels comfortable and welcome. One of the best ways for me to help make that happen is to hear from you. I’d like to know what you’d like to see the Y doing in the community and what programs you’d like to see at the branch.
I’m looking forward to building on Rick’s work and growing our presence and impact in the community.
